Alex Montgomery is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals and families to build confidence, improve wellbeing, and participate more fully in everyday life. As the founder of Thrive Exercise Physiology Services, he works with clients across the Central Coast to deliver personalised, evidence-based support that promotes meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
He holds a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology and a Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science, bringing both strong clinical knowledge and practical experience to every session.
Alex works with children, adolescents, and adults across a broad range of needs, including motor development challenges, coordination difficulties, musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, neurological presentations, and cardiovascular or respiratory health concerns. His sessions are tailored to each person’s individual goals, abilities, and stage of development, ensuring support is safe, engaging, and relevant to daily life.
For children and families, Alex’s work may focus on areas such as strength, coordination, gross motor skills, confidence in movement, participation in play and sport, and building healthy lifelong habits. He values a family-centred approach, working collaboratively with parents and caregivers so strategies can be carried over into home, school, and community environments. Alex also supports families accessing services through the NDIS, helping align intervention with functional goals that build independence, participation, and wellbeing.
Alongside exercise therapy, Alex is also a Level 1 Breathwork Facilitator, integrating breathing strategies to support regulation, recovery, stress management, and overall wellbeing. Known for his calm, approachable, and supportive style, Alex helps clients feel capable, empowered, and confident in their bodies—whether they are working toward developmental goals, recovering from injury, or simply wanting to move and feel better.
